LA VACUNACIÓN CONTRA EL VIRUS DEL PAPILOMA HUMANO EN HOMBRES QUE TIENEN RELACIONES SEXUALES CON HOMBRES

Resumen


Introducción: Un parte importante de hombres que tienen sexo con otros hombres son infectados por múltiples tipos del Virus del Papiloma Humano, en mayor proporción con los tipos 16 y 18, causantes del 80% de los cánceres anales. Los objetivos de este estudio son evaluar si los hombres homosexuales podrían beneficiarse de la vacunación contra el virus del papiloma humano, describir la aceptabilidad de la vacuna y conocer los programas de vacunación nacionales que incluyan a este grupo de riesgo. Métodos: Se realiza una revisión sistemática en PubMed. Conclusiones: Los hombres homosexuales podrían beneficiarse de programas de vacunación contra el virus del papiloma humano, en mayor medida en aquellos países donde solo las niñas son vacunadas rutinariamente.
