Tipologías y enfoques metodológicos de los estudios de revisiones en ciencias de la salud: Recomendaciones para los investigadores

Resumen


Las revisiones son investigaciones estructuradas, sistematizadas y reproducibles que exigen métodos rigurosos para garantizar resultados fiables y significativos a través de diferentes tipos y metodologías. El objetivo es describir las principales tipologías y enfoques metodológicos de revisiones en ciencias de la salud con la finalidad de proponer recomendaciones para los investigadores a través de la compresión y el proceso de desarrollo de una revisión abordando las siguientes etapas: Registro del protocolo de revisión, definición y estructuración de la pregunta de investigación, utilización de los recursos científicos con términos descriptores y estrategias de búsqueda adecuadas, establecimiento de criterios de inclusión y exclusión, evaluación de la calidad de los estudios, extracción de información y síntesis de resultados. Las revisiones pueden apoyar la toma de decisiones en la práctica clínica, pero debe seguirse una metodología robusta y rigurosa en su elaboración para asegurar la fiabilidad de los resultados.
